Original scale proposed by Kardashev has since been modified in different aspects and even turned head over heels (microdimensional mastering, also known as transcension hypothesis — compare to fictional phenomenon of Subliming from The Hydrogen Sonata and Look to Windward by Iain M. Banks, whence this model might have been derived).
