As expected from Team Duarte (MD is named after him, indeed), this appears inspired by sketchbook for children and brings Android ever closer to iOS in terms of visual experience. Hope lies where more imaginative 3rd party launchers live. Albeit I'm yet to discover proper skeuomorphic launcher fully compatible with Android 9 and newer versions.

Android UI reached its peak usability in times of Kitkat and steadily degrades ever since; what's truly discouraging is that increasingly greater number of vendors lean towards gods-awful stock UI.

If I were in need of clinging to iOS interface, I would’ve bitten poisoned Apple.
