Whenever I look at the latest and greatest design garbage cooked by Google UX team, it becomes very hard to disentangle myself from confusing mental picture, wherein all these folks reside near the same position about skillful designers as do body positivity zealots about, say, porn stars or athletes.

Grieved in their hearts, flat designers declared that skeuomorphism has no taste for grapes, and lazy crowd subsequently hailed this ugly landslide change, unrelated to actual ease of use. A big chunk of reviewers and bloggers would kiss the next Pixel no matter what, just because Pixel embodies stock Android, as Google intended it.
