You urge to forget about the connotations of the word curvature; what opinion do you have though, if at all, about the so-called curvaton scenario in the extended versions of the inflationary theory, where they employ not one, but two scalar fields, with the curvaton driving the fluctuations?

I find the proposals to account with the curvaton for the present CDM, isocurvature perturbation being sufficiently suppressed, somewhat interesting.
