Yes, of course, lest conflict turn out essentially devastating for Ukraine. They're in situation more akin to ill-fated Melians during Melian Dialogue or Paraguayans at the Paraguayan War of the Triple Alliance, than to WWII, despite whatever Zelensky blabbers while playing the role of Churchill reincarnated.

The most interesting detail is that Rammstein Coalition highly likely understands this, too.

Speaking about Yanukovych or Medvedchuk though, I guess they’re destined to live the pity remnants of their days in self-afflicted disdain and disgrace. Their way is now in darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

For example, Yanukovych could save hundreds of thousands lives had he implemented successfully a pale semblance of restrictive laws that Zelensky had imposed on Ukraine during the last couple of years. He didn’t, and as a consequence Ukraine had been shunted onto a track of nationalism, civil war, foreign invasion, and breakdown.

Compare his actions with more wise activities of Tokayev in Kazakhstan during January 2022 riots. Tokayev had managed to slip between Scylla and Charybdis to keep his country extant, whole, and prosperous, though, sure, his level of shrewdness is astronomically higher than Yanukovych’s. He was once Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, after all.
