Tyrrhenian languages, among which Etruscan resides, aren't Indo-European, such hypotheses exist, but these have little support. Tyrrhenian family is considered Paleo-European, i.e., their speakers were initially autochthonous. They developed on the continent in the course of the Neolithic Revolution, before the Indo-European invasion.
