October comes not too late yet
Three score and zero years ago October 1962 gave us the Caribbean crisis, whereas looming October 2022 generously promises the Ukrainian crisis.
The US are prone to discharge their own internal social entropy through means of proxy wars. But the ongoing conflict, while still proxy, fully deserves the title of long-awaited WWIII, despite one not so thinly-veiled detail: previous instances weren’t negative sum games. In short words, the US & UK risk losing too much spending the EU and Ukraine as lambs to the slaughter.
But then again, the EU had its structural skeleton corroded since the times of Eurozone crisis at least, and Ukraine could have survived in its pre-2014, or even pre-2022, borders only as (con)federation. So let them reap what they sow, there’s harvest Moon on the horizon.
Speaking about potential consequences of the less dangerous (not for long, be sure!) Sinoamerican war for tech & culture, I recommend you to glance upon Rainbows End by Vernor Vinge, where this event is touched often, though not described direct. Btw, quarantine hoax was also predicted by Vinge (there it’s called the Sunrise pseudomimivirus plague and placed in 2017).
