Not an unreasonable line of (in)action; terrains of the former USSR saw many frozen conflicts. Especially when one takes into account that Crimean and Donbass clashes/riots followed Euromaidan, not preceded it. It was Euromaidan revolutionary fighters who began to forcefully snatch power in the cities of Western Ukraine in January 2014, and then in Kyiv one month later.
