I meant the spectrum of reactions to the viral threat, which brought much more serious consequences and turned out worse than the virus itself; essentially, became the oath of fealty before establishment, up to the point of killing minks or locking down healthy sportsmen as "asymptomatic carriers." If you "trust the science" blindly and follow even the openly moronic decisions of the government, then you could be forced into obedience under conditions of the proxy world war, and this is what the Lockdowns essentially triggered, catalyzing the process that, via some further causal chains, developed wide cracks in the substance of spandrels and other load-bearing constructs in the house that globalized society built upon itself. Forums of deeply progressive tech portals, like my guilty pleasure ArsTechnica, show a hilarous similarity in flaming the hate against "covid deniers," "MAGA fascists" and, say, "Putinverstehers." Interestingly and most uncanny, the so-called "democratic liberal" governments had been keeping the quarantine policy not an ounce more sane than definitely authoritarian ones, cf. lockdown measures in Australia and New Zealand vs anti-humane acts in India or China.
