None of the above. He appears quite realistic. A deal is a fucking deal, but today isn’t 1938, and appeals to Godwin’s law cause only yawn.

A welcome adjournment after Biden-Blinken-Nuland's neocons-inspired messianic disaster.

Trump, as I, being a foreigner, see it, essentially channels Andrew Jackson, Kissinger, and Halford Mackinder; he takes as granted that the world shouldn't be forced into unity (the moment of unipolarity after the collapse of the USSR came and went, it was but a quick historical anomaly), and the congress of great powers provides more stable configuration than our current American edition of the "Brezhnev Doctrine".

Democracy doesn’t create peace by itself, especially “democracy” as the zealots of “rules-based international liberal order” treat it. On the contrary, the peace slowly, painfully brings democracy. Speaking about “ring of fire” that is active today in the international politics, we see that with each subsequent ochlocratic revolution (i.e. street coup) on the Periphery of the former USSR, spawning internal clashes and wars, which the neocon and rabidly progressive Dems happily sow, democracy regressed sharply, not vice versa.

History didn’t end in 1991. The democratic peace theory belongs to the same fringe science tier as the critical race theory.
