I use cezves for preparing coffee exclusively. Also, I try to drink coffee from my favourite coffee cup, true work of art, made of ceramic in Montenegro.

But we’re often so quick in our condemnation of plastic coffee cups. Polystyrene & other materials they’re usually made from are recyclable, and it could be done better than in case of waxed paper coffee cups. It’s only the matter of human laziness that often recycling, despite being technically sound, isn’t implemented properly and monitored, especially in countries of 2nd and 3rd world where eco-conciousness is sometimes, partially true to Clarke’s predictions, indistinguishable from magic.

The true bane of human race coming out of coffee industry is coffee capsules and pods, costwise and environmentally-wise.

And, of course, I must give black eye to Starbucks coffee blends, often ghastly bitter and dark burnt, that, however, might adopt some roles. Judging from my taste, Starbucks coffee probably should be served to prisoners of the Hague International Court of Justice, indicted for various crimes against humanity.
