I just was tired of political offtopic à la russe, clouding each and every discussion of incoming European energy crisis; as a Russian-born person, I’m quite sure the said crisis hadn't started on February 24: as usual, its first signs were blissfully overlooked by those in happy ignorance, in this case --- ignorance of basic energy network load engineering. Speaking about knowledge in this area, I‘m not a radiochemist. I simply happen to have some past touch with software side of NMR spectrometry/imaging; hence a general interest. I also would like to recommend The Berlin Project by Gregory Benford: this is one highly accurate and interesting, while alternate-historical, work about early nuclear weapons & power plants. It’s definitely the work of science fiction, but one can read it almost as a historical novel, while waiting for Nolan’s Oppenheimer.
