Gaslighting is not a solitary art

Under the gaslight it’s not easy to see that 8 years’ war in Donbass, now encompassing most of the Ukraine due to so-called ‘special military operation’ by Putin, should hardly be interpreted as more tragic and inhumane than, e.g., 8 years’ war in Yemen, where so-called ‘special military operation’ by Saudi royal house is renewed. I don’t reckon death & destruction in Sanaʽa somehow less pitiful than atrocities in Donetsk or Kharkiv.

I’m more concerned with possible ‘transcription-induced mutations’ of Ukrainian far-right (and there are next to none of them except far-right) freedom fighters into European version of what our parents’ generation (I’m speaking as Russian expatriate) had inherited along with Afghanistan. I can readily imagine a couple of dozen Azov or Centuria members in Bataclan remake.

After all, European Union’s reality mightn’t live up to their expectations. And gaslighting is not a solitary art.
