An obvious multi-faceted decline caused mainly by ineffective, bloated bureaucracy and total lack of responsibility for an adult, independent foreign policy, first of all in the relations with Russia and Ukraine. I see you hail from Poland. Hardly need I to remind you, for example, that the decay of Rzeczpospolita in the autumn of the Middle Ages had been driven, among other factors, by the same liberum veto that so clearly paralyzes today many initiatives of the EU.
