After a year and a half in delays, Apple finally pulls the plug from its revolutionary positioning-agnostic wireless mat, AirPower, which, as it had been preached to every creature under heaven, could have charged all three holy iDevices independently. Any Qi-compliant standalone charger, though, should do the talking for wirelessly chargeable iPhone, AirPods, or AppleWatch, but not for all three of them concomitantly.
What a time to be alive, when humankind proves itself able to navigate robotic space probe far into the Kuiper belt, while simultaneously unable to cope with spooky wireless charging at a distance. Methinks, though, that New Horizons’ thinness fell fairly low in NASA’s priorities list.
And, of course, Apple again beats Google, now in terms of product cancellation speed.
Better never than late.
